Gayle King Reveals Why She Doesn’t Wear Underwear to Bed in TMI Confession

Gayle King said she prefers to sleep in a “big old ratty T-shirt” with no underwear because she likes to “feel the breeze down there.”

Gayle King is breaking news about her sleeping habits.

The TV anchor admitted that she prefers to go commando in bed, revealing in a recent TMI confession, “I always sleep in a big old ratty T-shirt but I don’t like wearing underwear.”

“Because I like to feel the breeze down there,” Gayle explained during a Nov. 14 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.

“At night, I do.” But she isn’t the only one who snoozes bare-bottomed. Host Drew Barrymore agreed with the 69-year-old’s assessment.

“I used to say to the girls—they’ll be so horrified by this—but I was like, ‘You must let it breathe.

Let’s take a breathing break,'” she shared, referencing to daughters Olive, 12, and Frankie, 10, with ex-husband Will Kopelman.

“With those diapers on you all the time? Nuh-uh. We’re just gonna go on a walkabout and whatever happens happens.

” The Charlie’s Angels alum continued, “And yes, women should feel the breeze.”

In fact, Drew even likes to take it one step further by sleeping completely in the buff.

“If no one’s in the house, including the kids—they go and stay at their dad’s for the night—I will sleep in the nude,” she noted to Gayle. “I love it. I lock all the doors and I just parade around like a little jaybird.”

However, Drew’s kids do try to keep her in check. As the 49-year-old shared on her talk show earlier this year, “My daughter tries to pants me all the time too because she knows I’m not wearing any underwear.”

“It’s a joke,” she quipped. “But yeah, I’m like, ‘Just make sure this is an inside the house thing.'”

Another reason why Drew will always ditch the panties at home? “Well, I wear sweatpants,” she explained. “I wear it every day and there’s just this nice sort of sweatshirt material.”
